Madeleine Perring started her musical career as a chorister and subsequently Head Chorister at Wells Cathedral where she discovered her love of music. After school, she graduated from the RCM with first class honours and is thrilled to be studying with Rosa Mannion. She is grateful to continue her Masters studies as a Brooks-Anderson Award holder. Highlights from the past year include a masterclass with Sir Thomas Allen in the Britten Theatre at the RCM and making her Wigmore Hall debut in a masterclass with Nicky Spence. She has also performed in various opera scenes; working as Despina and more recently Fiordiligi in Mozart's Cosí fan tutte, as well as 'She' in Madeline Dring's operetta Cupboard Love. Madeleine has also enjoyed working as a soprano soloist with the Somerset and Plymouth choral societies, and most recently with the Civil Service Choir in St John’s Smith Square. She also is the recent winner of the RCM Lieder competition and the Royal Over-Seas League Singers Final 2025. Maddie looks forward to her final year of Masters with generous support from both Help Musicians and the Countess of Munster Musical Trust. She has exciting upcoming opportunities including joining the Emerging Artist programme at Garsington Opera, performing in the chorus of three operas and covering the role of Gianetta in Donizetti’s L’Elisir d’Amore, as well as joining the Wigmore Hall French Song Exchange and performing in the ROSL Grand Final at Wigmore Hall in July.
